Typing in every purchase gets old fast. With Fineyo AI, just say what you spent, like "Coffee 4.50 euros today", and Fineyo turns it into a transaction for you to review and save.
Apple Intelligence does the work on your iPhone, and nothing you say is sent to Fineyo.
What you need
- iOS 26 or later on an iPhone that supports Apple Intelligence (iPhone 15 Pro or newer).
- Apple Intelligence turned on in Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri, with its model fully downloaded.
- Permission for Fineyo to use the microphone and speech recognition.
If something is missing, Fineyo tells you what when you open the voice screen.
How to add transactions by voice
- Open Fineyo AI in any of these ways:
- Press and hold the + button and choose Add by voice.
- Tap the AI button in the top right of Overview.
- Tap the Add by voice card on Overview, if you've added it to your dashboard.
- Tap the microphone and say your transaction.
- Tap again to stop.
- Review what Fineyo created. Tap a transaction to change anything. If something's missing, it's marked so you can fill it in.
- Tap Save.
What to say
Include whatever you know: amount, what it was for, date, currency, or account.
- "Coffee 4.50€ today"
- "I spent $15.99 on cinema yesterday"
- "Taxi ride 20, paid by cash"
You can log several at once: "Coffee 5 dollars yesterday and taxi 15 euros today."
If you don't say a currency, Fineyo uses your travel currency if one is set, or your main currency.
Tip: Keep it short. Very long recordings are stopped, so split a long list into a few recordings.
Languages
Fineyo AI works in languages that both Apple's speech recognition and Apple Intelligence support. It starts with your app language. To change it, tap the info button on the voice screen and choose Language. Apple adds more languages with iOS updates.
Free vs Fineyo Pro
- On the free plan, you can try Fineyo AI twice. The counter on the voice screen shows how many tries are left. A try only counts once Fineyo has actually created transactions.
- Fineyo Pro unlocks unlimited voice input and also fills in the transaction description from what you said.
Good to know
- Fineyo never creates categories or accounts for you. It only matches your existing ones. Anything it can't match is left for you to complete before saving.
- Speech recognition is Apple's. Depending on your language and iPhone, Apple may need an internet connection to turn speech into text. See Does Fineyo work offline?
- Fineyo AI is currently in beta.
Troubleshooting
"Fineyo AI requires iOS 26 or later on a device that supports Apple Intelligence." Your iPhone or iOS version can't run Apple Intelligence. Update iOS if your iPhone supports it, or keep adding transactions with the + button.
"Turn on Apple Intelligence in Settings to use Fineyo AI." Open your iPhone's Settings → Apple Intelligence & Siri and turn it on.
"Apple Intelligence is still getting ready." The model is still downloading. Leave your iPhone on Wi-Fi and charging for a while, then try again.
"Apple Intelligence does not support this speech language yet." Tap the info button on the voice screen, choose Language, and pick a supported one.
"Microphone permission was denied." Tap Open Settings and allow both the microphone and speech recognition for Fineyo.
"Not a transaction." Fineyo couldn't find an expense or income in what you said. Try again with an amount and what it was for, like "Lunch 12 euros today".
A transaction came out wrong. Tap it to fix the details before saving, or try saying it differently.
