Rent, salary, streaming subscriptions, gym membership: set them up once and Fineyo adds each new payment on its day. You'll also see what's coming up and get a reminder the day before.
Create a recurring transaction
- Tap + to add a transaction (or open an existing one).
- Fill in the amount, category, and other details.
- Turn on Repeat.
- Tap Repeating interval and choose Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or Annual.
- Pick the date of the first payment and tap Save.
You can also go to Settings → Recurrencies and tap Add.
The free plan includes 3 recurring transactions. Fineyo Pro unlocks unlimited ones.
How the intervals work
- Weekly repeats on the same weekday.
- Monthly repeats on the same day of the month. For shorter months (say, the 31st in February), Fineyo uses the last day of the month.
- Annual repeats on the same date each year.
Transfers between accounts can't repeat.
How new payments are added
- Each payment is saved as a normal transaction on its date. You can edit or delete one without affecting the others.
- Payments are added when you open Fineyo on or after their day. Haven't opened the app for a week? All missed payments are added at once.
- Start a recurring transaction in the past, and Fineyo adds every payment from that date until today.
- Each new payment copies the details of the most recent one: amount, category, account, payee, tags, currency, and note.
Future payments
A recurring transaction dated in the future doesn't count yet. Until its day, it's left out of your lists, totals, budgets, widgets, and Siri answers. You'll see it in the Upcoming recurring card on Overview and in Settings → Recurrencies.
See what's coming up
Settings → Recurrencies lists all your recurring transactions, split into expenses and income and sorted by the next date. At the top, a Next 30 days summary shows how much is due, your cost per month, and a timeline.
For each one, you can:
- Tap to edit.
- Swipe right to Disable recurrence. Past payments stay, and no new ones are added.
- Swipe left to delete.
- Touch and hold for more options, like Duplicate.
The Upcoming recurring card on Overview shows your next three payments and when they're due. With Fineyo Pro, you can also put them on your Home Screen and Lock Screen with the Upcoming recurring widgets.
Get a reminder the day before
Fineyo sends a "Coming up tomorrow" notification the day before a recurring payment. It's on by default, and covers all your spaces. Daily repeats don't send reminders.
To change it, go to Settings → Notifications → Recurrencies → Remind a day before. See Notifications.
Free vs Fineyo Pro
The free plan includes 3 active recurring transactions per space. Settings → Recurrencies shows how many you've used. Fineyo Pro unlocks unlimited ones.
- Only transactions with Repeat on count. Disable a recurrence you no longer need to free up a slot.
- Editing a transaction that already repeats never counts against the limit.
- In a shared space, the space owner's plan applies.
- If Fineyo Pro ends, all your recurring transactions keep working. You just can't add new ones beyond 3.
Troubleshooting
Today's payment hasn't appeared yet. Payments are added when Fineyo opens. Open the app and it'll appear.
My future recurring transaction isn't in my totals. That's expected. It shows only in Upcoming recurring and Settings → Recurrencies until its date.
I didn't get a reminder. Check that notifications are on in Settings → Notifications and allowed for Fineyo in your iPhone's Settings. After adding or changing a recurring transaction, leave Fineyo once (switch apps or lock your iPhone) so the reminder is scheduled.
I can't turn on Repeat. Repeat isn't available for transfers. Switch the transaction to an expense or income.
Saving a repeating transaction opens the Fineyo Pro screen. You already have 3 active recurring transactions, the free plan's limit. Disable one you don't need in Settings → Recurrencies, or upgrade to Fineyo Pro.
